Tesla strengthens its position in the Chinese market by launching testing of its energy storage megafactory in Shanghai. This facility, located in the Lin-gang Special Area, is preparing to start mass production of its Megapack units in the first quarter of 2025. This, to follow construction that began in May 2024.
A Strategic Commitment to Sustainable Energy
The factory will have the capacity to produce 10,000 Megapacks per year, equivalent to 40 gigawatt-hours of energy storage. This breakthrough underscores the importance of the energy business for Tesla. Shanghai, a Key Player in Tesla’s Expansion
